1. Sohang – Breath Mantra
Sohang is the natural ajapa jap — “So” with inhalation, “Hang” with exhalation.
Saints said: “नासिका द्वार सोहंग स्वर।” — At the doorway of the nose, Sohang resounds.
Practice: steady the mind by resting awareness on this automatic mantra.
2. Ohang – Inner Resonance
When awareness deepens, Sohang reveals its subtle vibration as Ohang.
Saints described Ohang as the inner echo or resonance, often equated with Anahad Nada (unstruck sound).
Dadu: “ओहंग भीतर गूँजे।” — Within, Ohang echoes.
Meaning: Sohang at the breath leads to Ohang within.
3. Silence Beyond Sound

The culmination is beyond mantra and sound — pure union with the Divine.
